Cast aluminium abstract and brutalist sculpture from german artist Helmut Schlüter. Height 49 cm. This artist received numerous commissions for monumental sculptures in major German cities. I present a set of models found in his workshop and made between 1965 and 1985. Most have a label. Many pieces are worked with acid to obtain striking patinas. On others the artist has added fragments of marble during the cast that he polished to obtain marble surfaces.

Very large abstract wooden sculpture with solid sculpted lines. Those lines are splitting the massive wooden trunk in 2 parts which gives this sculpture an abstract and strong design. The pure wood and wood grains gives this sculpture a very organic character. The sculpture is signed and was made in the early 1990' s. Part of the studio collection of Roland LAVIANNE (1948-2022). This collection was acquired in collaboration with STUER and PSCHANTIQUES. Simplifying the features in the extreme, Roland LAVIANNE develops a powerful play on volumes, shapes and lines, using the light as a key construction material.

This sculpture has a beautiful patina and has some nice artistic details like some dots of thick red paint added by the artist. The artwork dates from the early 1990' s and is signed by the artist.
